Will Aid Month

November is Will Aid month and Morrish Solicitors are participating once again, as we have done for many years, having raised thousands of pounds for the charity scheme. For the month of November, we will draft you a simple Will and not expect payment. Instead we invite you to donate the money to Will Aid, a charity scheme designed to get more people to write their Wills and to raise funds for popular charities at the same time.

We can draw up a basic Will for you and, instead of charging a fee, we ask you to make a donation to Will Aid. All the money donated is shared by nine of the UK’s best loved charities: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (N. Ireland). The suggested donation is just £90 for a single Will or £135 for a pair of mirror Wills.*

Many people simply don’t get around to making a Will, even though they know they should. Making a Will is one of the most considerate things you can do for your loved ones. If you act now and make a Will with a Will Aid solicitor, not only will your family thank you, but so will nine of the UK’s most important and hardworking charities. And you will save money – a standard Will costs about £120.

Will Aid just lasts for the month of November and appointments are booking up fast so you need to hurry to make sure you don’t miss out.  If you would like to make an appointment, please call 033 3344 9600, quoting ‘Will Aid’, and ask for: • Charlotte Bandawe or James Shingleton at our Pudsey office • Tom Morrish or Monika Volsing at our Yeadon office.

*This applies to standard Wills, Mirror Wills (e.g. two identical Wills written for husband and wife) and Codicils (changes to your current Will).  If you find that your Will is not standard and requires specialist legal advice, we will be able to advise you and agree a fee before continuing the process.
